As is noted elsewhere on this blog, I am an erratic blogger. As you can see the last post before this was back at the beginning of the year when I was 'flexing my writing muscle'.
And flex it, I did!
I flexed it so hard I wrote a short story. And then as all stories need a home I sent it to a lovely editor over at HarperCollins and then forgot about it.
A month or two went by, I carried on with things, forgetting about that little story out in the wild. And then one Monday morning whilst taking a break between meetings I was checking my email. It was the lovely editor. She liked my little story, she liked it so much she wanted to know whether she could buy it. Who was I to deny it a home? I jumped up and down, shed a few tears and then read on further.
Would I write five more short stories to keep that original story company?
Would I ever?
So now I have six Kiss themed short stories coming out in the next few months with HarperCollins new digital imprint, HarperImpulse.
The first one is actual 'The Last Kiss'... yes, that little short story written way back in January. It is published on 14th November and is available on Kindle, iTunes, Kobo and Googleplay. You can pre-order here
Not bad for a bit of muscle flexing?
