Timeless

That is kind of how I have felt this week and not in respect to "not belonging to a certain point in time" but more due to having NO TIME!!!

I have been to Bradford twice this week and have gone without some sleep. BUT today was my first proper radio day. I officially had a work radio day that wasn't actually a leave day from the day job.

So some people have asked about my holiday... well it was beautiful! Anytime spent in the mountains during the winter is beautiful to me. Wrapping up in winter clothing, putting on boots that are instruments of torture and strapping long fibreglass planks to my feet is the best way to spend a holiday.

I love skiing. It is freeing. Pointing yourself down a steep hill and just letting go, the only thing stopping you from grevious bodily harm is the skill and experience gained over the years. Thighs burning, wind whistling, the crystalline crisp smell of snow.

Oh and the wet, heartstopping, boneshuddering impact as you fall when you hit a patch of ice, a lump of snow or a bump.

So that was what happened during the day...

The nights were mostly spent sampling the food of Breckenridge and tasting the wine. I did get to see an old friend very briefly, I worry that he is working himself into the ground.

I didn't want to leave. I never want to leave the mountains. Maybe one day I can find a place, build a home studio and a writing room and never have to.
